What informs this approach?
Our design draws on IES guidance for families and the EEF’s early maths guidance: connect objects to symbols, develop counting before more complex operations, and use conversation to understand a child’s thinking.
A 2022 review of guided play found benefits for some early maths outcomes, with limits in the evidence. These sources inform the activities; this website itself has not been evaluated in a learning study.
